The Multicultural Leadership Project empowers refugee and immigrant youth in Denver metro and Aurora, Colorado. Through the program, high school students of all cultural backgrounds share personal experiences, develop skills and assume leadership roles within their community. In a group setting, students work on identifying key personal characteristics of what it takes to be a leader across different cultures, explore cultural differences in leadership styles and learn effective communication and conflict-resolution skills. Youth leaders also work together on projects of their choice to serve and empower their communities. The Multicultural Leadership Project is funded by the Pollination Project Seed Grant. The project was launched at Aurora Central High School in Spring 2016.
